Data We Collect
Data you provide directly: via the “Leave an intention” form — first name, email, city, time period, intention; via the contact form — name, email, user type, message.
Data collected automatically: IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, visit duration, traffic source. See also section 8 on cookies.
Purposes of Processing
We process your data to: reply to your messages and contact requests (legitimate interest); send you the Terroir newsletter if you have subscribed (consent — you may unsubscribe at any time); notify you when the community is ready (consent); improve user experience and site content (legitimate interest); comply with legal obligations (legal obligation).
Retention Period
Form data (intention, contact): 3 years after the last active contact. Browsing data: 13 months maximum (CNIL recommendation). Data required by legal obligations: for the period prescribed by law.
Recipients of Data
Your data is processed by Terroir and, where applicable, by technical sub-processors including Webflow, Inc. (site hosting, United States, Standard Contractual Clauses) and Beehiiv, Inc. (newsletter delivery, United States, Standard Contractual Clauses). Your data is never sold to third parties.
Transfers Outside the EU
Some sub-processors are located outside the European Union (Webflow in the United States). These transfers are governed by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or other appropriate safeguards.
Cookies
The site uses essential cookies (always on) for site functionality. Terroir does not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies. Our analytics provider, Plausible, operates entirely without cookies. No cookie consent banner is required or displayed.
Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to, and port your data. You may withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).

Security
Terroir implements reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure.
